Information on Login - logout procedures

Some guidance notes on the dos and don'ts of logging into the BEC site:

  1. You will need to login to access certain pages for which you have appropriate permissions. This applies particularly to support programmes such as Surviving into the Mainstream (SIM).
  2. You will also need to login to be recognised by the system as, for example, when you use the Getverbal pages to provide evaluations of BEC services.
  3. It is vital to logout if you have access to pages, such as SIM pages, which hold private information and in general it is best practice to logout as a matter of course because just quitting a browser does not close a logged in session.
  4. Once you are logged into the BEC site you have the ability to update your registration info from the BEC Members 'Login - Logout' pages using the Update Details link in the right margin.
